Located in London, I attend and view major auction sales here, and cover auctions elsewhere in the UK and Continental Europe as well.  I am happy to report and advise on specific items, and commission rates for purchasing can be arranged if required.

Valuations of every kind can be arranged, which usually include a preliminary view, and a detailed report as required.  Fees for this are by arrangement.

I am also able to advise on the development of libraries and collections of all kinds.

Of course I am always keen to buy individual items or collections in the appropriate fields, up to the highest and most competitive levels.

I can offer an extensive search service for books in my usual fields.  If you have a specific want or field of interest, do let me know.  Especially with the new technology available today, we can literally use the World to fill your bookshelf. Book Fairs are an important part of this business, and give an unprecedented opportunity to meet customers and suppliers.  We exhibit regularly at the PBFA monthly Fairs at the Hotel Russell in London. We have participated for over 25 years in the major International Fairs in the Summer in London, as well as the annual Fairs in New York, Boston, Los Angeles and San Francisco, and in Europe from time to time, and also in Japan.

Details of forthcoming Fairs are detailed in the catalogue, and courtesy passes, Fair catalogues or other information can all easily be supplied.

I know one of the most difficult things coming to a city for the first time, especially for an extended trip including visiting book shops, is arranging accommodation.  Fortunately I am usually able to suggest some appropriate form of hotel or apartment scheme suitable for visitors. There is obviously no charge for this, nor do I have a commercial understanding with these companies.  For this or indeed any difficulty in planning a visit, do please ask.  It’s part of what I do.
